Our Name

Glen:

The word ‘Glen’ reflects the rolling terrain of the North and South Carolina piedmont, where we live, work, and play.

Stone:

The word ‘Stone’ reflects our two-fold desire to 1) help every person find their unique place in God’s Kingdom and 2) together become something spectacular for God

Our lives are like stones. Alone and separated from God, they may seem cold, hard, and of little value. But, when searched out by a loving Father, connected with the Son, and filled with His Spirit, they come alive! Together, like a spectacular castle, a Kingdom of love, we become God’s hands and feet in the hurting world.

Our desire at Glenstone Chapel is for every person in the ‘glen’ and beyond to find their place in that Kingdom and to together become something beautiful for God in the world.
