Glenstone Kids
At Glenstone Chapel, we want to see children become courageous followers of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to partner with parents in training up children to honor, love, and trust God.
We desire to demonstrate God’s love to children as we lead them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and guide them in their spiritual growth. We believe this is accomplished by developing a passion for God’s Word, focusing on prayer, and building relationships.
Nursery
Glenstone Chapel desires to provide a safe and nurturing environment, in which our smallest attendees experience the love of Christ. We believe that through simple songs and stories, Christian compassion and servanthood are demonstrated, and that a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ begins.
Preschool
Children (ages 3 and up) start their Sundays by worshipping with their parents during the first half of our church service. Prior to the sermon, children are led by their teachers to a classroom where they begin to understand and love God’s Word. Each Sunday School class includes a short, kid-friendly worship session and an interactive Bible Story. Afterward, the children break up into age-appropriate groups and do hands-on activities relating to the story.
Elementary
Children (ages four and up) begin their Sunday morning by worshipping with their parents during the first half of our church service. Prior to the sermon, the childrens’ teachers lead them to their grade appropriate classrooms.
We want to make the most out of every moment, so tracking down God’s truth is our highest priority. Children learn how to build a healthy relationship with their peers, and most importantly, with their Savior, Jesus Christ.
For first and second grade students, we use Bible story books to teach God’s Word in an exciting style that this age group can relate. The older elementary students (3rd-5th grade) are better able to grasp Biblical concepts. They learn to use their own Bibles to discover what God’s Word says, what it means, and how they can apply it to their lives.
For all elementary students, vital components of our teaching time include prayer, scripture memory, and building relationships.
