Student Ministry
The Student Ministry philosophy at Glenstone Chapel is to partner with parents. We work together to help the students honor God and become courageous followers of Jesus Christ, so that they represent and reflect Him well wherever they go. We are people-focused, rather than program-focused. We intentionally include 6-12th grade students in our corporate worship service, and encourage them to find a place to serve in this church body.
We know that life change comes best in community. The Student Ministry program at Glenstone Chapel accomplishes this through a weekly Bible study meeting called “Connection Point” and through monthly connecting events. Connection Point provides a safe place for students to investigate and own the truths of God’s Word. Connecting events are less formal and fun activities, which provide students with a favorable environment to invite their friends, as well as, grow in their relationships with one another.
Connection Point
All students meet weekly on Wednesday nights at the Glenstone cabin from 6:30 to 8:30. This is a great opportunity for them to connect and grow in their relationship with God and others. During this time we have snacks, a Bible lesson (usually topical), and game time.
Please contact students@glenstonechapel.org for more information. We’d love to have you there!
Student Gatherings
Every first and third Sunday morning of the month the students gather together to connect and to grow in their understanding of God and His Word. This gathering is for students 6th – 12th grade.
LIT (Leadership in Training)
We want to encourage our 6th-12th grade students to serve and find their place in the Body of Christ and the local body at Glenstone. We have opportunities for them to be equipped and serve in our preschool and elementary classes, as well as, help with audio/video and lights. We desire for the students to develop and grow in understanding their spiritual gifts, and for them to see how God can use them in the Body. If you are interested in this program, please email students@glenstonechapel.org and we will provide you with more information.
Challenge Conference/Mission Trips
Every summer students will be given the opportunity to participate in one of these options. Every other year, even calendar years, the Evangelical Free Church offers students all over the United States the opportunity to come together in one location for the purpose to be encouraged, challenged, and grow in their understanding of God and to live their lives for Him. This conference has been used by God to change the lives of many students. Mission Trips will be offered during the off years of the Conference, odd calendar years. These trips will give practical opportunities for students to apply their understanding and to live out their faith in a challenging and unfamiliar environment, learning to love others, putting others before themselves and serve them as they would serve God. Together these events challenge students in their world views and open their hearts and minds to include God in that world view, including God in all that they do.
