Women’s Ministry
Glenstone Chapel Women’s Ministry exists to encourage women in:
Connecting with each other, growing in God’s word, and serving in our communities by providing a safe place to invite women into relationship with God and each other.
Bible Study: Bible study involves a time of fellowship, large group teaching, small group discussion, and manageable weekly homework to encourage women to make it a daily habit to grow in God’s Word. Both morning and evening sessions are offered, with childcare available for the morning session.
Location: Marvin A.M.E Zion Church, 1525 Crane Road, Waxhaw, NC US 28173
This fall, we hope you’ll join the women’s ministry Bible studies as we journey together through One in a Million: Journey to Your Promised Land by Priscilla Shirer. Priscilla encourages those who take this study saying, “Every week millions of believers fill the pews of the church and hear about the greatness and power of God. They are told that they can experience it, yet few ever do. If you hunger to experience His power, hear His voice, and live in the abundance promised to you, then this book is for you.”
Travel with us to the Old Testament and walk through the wilderness with the Israelites. Then move forward into the New Testament to learn about God’s challenges and promises for us when we choose to walk closely with Him!
If you have any questions about Women’s Bible Study, see Amy Martin or Kerri Sasnett, or write to womensministry@glenstonechapel.org.
Oasis Evenings occur 4 times a year. They offer an opportunity for women to connect with one another in a relaxed environment and be refreshed by the love of God. Refreshments are served.
Women’s OASIS 2010: “Living the Intentional Life”
Please join us on Thursday, September 23, from 7-9pm for the first women’s OASIS event of the year. This year, the Women’s Ministry at Glenstone Chapel is focusing on “Living the Intentional Life.” Our first event will focus on “Wisdom with Intentionality” as Katrina Ryder will share her knowledge and experiences with living on a budget. Please bring a dessert to share. Friends are welcome too!
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3
